A Three-Peat Performance … State Championship #8
On April 12, 1999 the Whaler’s 55 straight match victory streak was
broken. But … REVENGE IS
SWEET... and when it comes with a State Championship it is FANTASTICS! The Whaler's closed out the 1999 season
with a straight set victory (15-3, 15-10, 15-12) over Milford (24-1).
The victory avenged their only loss of the season and won them the state
championship for the sixth time in seven years.
The 1999 State Champions
included Tri-Captains Victor Tam, Kevin Lawless and Carl Beckman. Others were Christan Pita, Shaun.
Harding, Kyle Benedetti, Marc Savail, Greg Longo, Jarrod Vitorino, Brian
Raymond, Keith Fahy, Raleigh. Dougal, Tom Southworth, Jon Brightman, James Stewart, Predal. Shields, and Steve
Azar.
