Mission Statement

The goal of this website is to provide students with a comprehensive guidebook to facilitate their understanding of the complete anatomy of a fetal pig, as well as giving them a step by step procedure that will assist them in carrying out a successful fetal pig dissection.  The contents of this site will also teach Advanced Placement biology students about mammalian anatomy and physiology, by presenting our first-hand findings to them in an illustrative, interactive, and detailed web page.  Throughout this site, you will find images of our dissection, along with connotations that further enhance biology students’ understanding of fetal pigs and offer supplementary information about the characteristics of mammals (what the fetal pigs are classified under).  The numerous steps that we performed are outlined methodically in this site, and we hope students will be able to follow them precisely.  May the force be with you!
