Some of the most creative
projects came from those students selecting the Team 2 focus on the witches
and supernatural.
Depicting
the events of Act 4, scene 1.
Other themes that stirred students' curiousity were the relationship between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, the comparison /contrast between the historical and theatrical Macbeth, and the legend of Macbeth as a Cursed Play.
These
students enacted Act 1, scene
7, and Act 5, scene 8 through dance, drum, and fife music alone. The resulting
seduction of Macbeth, and ultimate defeat was extremely powerful.
Lady
Macbeth's prayer for dark power, Act 1, scene 5.
Powerpoint presentations on the curse surrounding
the "Scottish Play" were also extremely popular. Using a multitude
of presentation styles allows the material to become accessible to those
students whose learning styles range beyond the visual and auditory.
