| Parental Involvement
Kindergarten is the foundation of the educational system and is an integral part of elementary education. Since each child is unique, our schools will do everything possible to see that your child receives the education that is right for him or her. Parents have the opportunity to make an enormous difference in their child’s education. They are their child’s most important educator, and a valuable partner with their child’s teacher in school.
The principals, kindergarten teachers, and other school administrators look forward to working with parents and children as a new school year begins.
The single most important influence in how well your child will do in school is how much you stay involved in the education of your child. It shows that you care. Vision Statement
New Bedford students will graduate from the system as flexible thinkers and problem solvers who will cherish and respect the planet they live on and all its environmental and human diversity.
Educational experiences will nurture a cooperative spirit that will provide for a meaningful education and prepare our students for the future and the world of work.
It is hoped that students will become active members of their communities and fully informed citizens who are able to take advantage of the many opportunities that come their way, and who understand that learning is a lifelong process. |
